Navigating Life's Twists with Grace

Navigating Life's Twists with Grace

“You deserve the best, never feel unworthy or justified in not having the best. I tell you this is your heritage, but you have to accept it, expect it and you have to claim it. And to do so is not demanding too much. “

This is quote passed down to me by my meditation teacher. I wrote it in my journal many years ago, and I've often returned to re-read it when I need a reminder. I've learned to live my life expecting the very best for myself; even though I had people telling me to accept less.

We come into the world innately wanting to live from our unique place of self-knowing which informs all that we do. That knowing guides us with clarity and presence, gifting us the confidence and power to navigate life with grace and resilience.

One of the most transformative practices on my journey of self-remembering has been journaling. I set aside time each day to reflect on my feelings, thoughts, actions and experiences; allowing myself to explore my inner world with curiosity and compassion. Journaling has helped me to gain clarity, process emotions, and cultivate a deeper sense of self-awareness.

I've learned to expect the best and not to feel guilty about it, and challenge any inherited thoughts or beliefs that say I do not deserve it. There is a charm that emerges when we realize that it’s ok to want and expect the very best, of ourselves, others and life itself.

We can explore ways of living life with purpose and meaning by taking a dive into the depths of our inner world, an excavation of the soul. Embracing our vulnerabilities and fostering authentic connections within ourselves will uncover forgotten truths and unlock our full potential.

An important aspect of self-discovery is embracing our perceived imperfections. Instead of striving for perfection, let's celebrate and embrace our humanity. It's through our struggles and challenges that we grow and evolve, becoming stronger and more resilient versions of ourselves.

I've learned to embrace the beauty of my own unique journey, finding strength and wisdom in every step along the way. I invite you to do the same.
